{"id":1923,"date":"2012-08-16T12:11:55","date_gmt":"2012-08-16T12:11:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caspaonline.co.uk\/?page_id=1923"},"modified":"2018-07-06T08:07:18","modified_gmt":"2018-07-06T07:07:18","slug":"face-to-face-training","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.caspaonline.co.uk\/resource-centre\/face-to-face-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Face-to-face training"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Bespoke training<\/h2>\n<p>RSE Insight is able to provide bespoke training for school and LA staff at their own location on request.\u00a0 We rarely deliver exactly the same training twice due to the particular needs of the group, whether levels of experience, school or LA\u00a0Module, or the areas of CASPA of particular interest at the time.\u00a0 For example, in the autumn term, target setting is a key area for attention; in the summer term, ensuring high quality end of year data is paramount.\u00a0 Other topics vary according to audience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Senior leadership teams are often\u00a0interested primarily in analysis to support self evaluation and visits by external agencies<\/li>\n<li>Data\/admin roles may be primarily interested in ensuring data is entered and assured most efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Teaching staff may have a particular focus on using CASPA to support specific activities such as target setting and pupil progress reviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, training is not one thing and CASPA has so many features, it is not possible to fit it all in to one session for all types of user.\u00a0 So whenever we receive a request for training, we will need to discuss the audience, levels of experience and particular areas of interest.<\/p>\n<p>We also provide training in different styles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Seminar style, often for a large group (perhaps 40+) where the focus is on demonstrating key features and inspiring new users to dive in and get involved<\/li>\n<li>Demonstration-led training, for a smaller group (perhaps around 25-30) where the trainer demonstrates a range of topics and discussions are encouraged in order to embed the knowledge in the specific context of attendees<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on training and workshops, for smaller groups (up to around 20 depending on facilities) where attendees use either a training version or a copy of their own CASPA installation on training or own PCs\/laptops.\u00a0 This enables key topics to be followed and users to experience and experiment within the session.\u00a0 If a school uses their own CASPA data, discussions can often also take into account school-specific data queries<\/li>\n<li>One-to-one training\/consultation, which will be tailored to meet the specific needs of the user<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our training charges are based on a rate that normally caters for up to a whole day, regardless of the number of attendees; we do not charge by the hour or by delegate so although the cost may not always be attractive for delivery to a single person, the price per delegate for a group can become very small indeed.\u00a0 And although the charge is normally the same whether it is a 2 hour, half day or whole day course (after all, our trainer is out for the whole day, and possibly much longer for travel and preparation), most users find that around 4-5 hours is about right (depending on training style &#8211;
